Just a little update!
I got some darling photos of sweet baby (who isn’t so much a baby anymore!) Aggy
between Thanksgiving and Christmas. She
is now over a year old and is walking.
It is evident that her parents love her very very much. I love seeing them together as a family! I never thought to ask if I could show a
photo of her, so I won’t do that at this time, but maybe soon I will ask if it
is okay! I am also just about weaned making just about 10 ounces a day. I have pumped and donated about 24,000 ounces since Aggy was born! Feels good knowing I have helped multiple families all over the country (and world if you count Aggy's start!) with pumping. I am sad to see this chapter close, but excited for the new book we are about to write with the next journey.
Speaking of the next surrogacy journey, it is in the works. I am matched with a local Intended Father Couple and its been great because we have been able to get together every few weeks lately to just hang out or iron out things like insurance and contracts. I went to the clinic on January 10 and got
the green light to transfer in about 2 months as long as all of the egg donor
stuff and contracts are done. Right now I
am just waiting to hear back from the clinic about starting birth control as
the plan of frozen donor eggs might turn to a plan of a fresh embryo
transfer which would mean different medications to sync up
cycles.
Also, I haven’t really mentioned it that much here, but
remember crying doula? We decided to
open a new doula business together and we have been rocking it! We were both serving the same clients and
working back up for each other, so it was only natural to go ahead and take the
leap and create a business together. We
rolled out the idea of Stars and Stripes Doulas in early
December. Logo creation, website design
and all of the other things that go with it have been insane. We are just about done with our website
now. We started our online presence with
Facebook and Instagram, thinking that we would just start that and get some
followers, but what happened is there is a huge market for military
families and our business took off before we even had our website
officially up! I can't wait to take my blogging voice over to the Stars & Stripes Doulas website to add some humor to some of the subjects that parents need to read about! We love that we have been
busy and we have been honored with serving the best families! Being labor and postpartum
doulas in the Northern Virginia area is so rewarding as we feel
valued! Watch us, we are doing great
things!
